Hello, my name is Ritu Sood. I am an Ontario certified teacher, Certified Teaching as a second language teacher and Lead ESL teacher. I am passionate about teaching and creating lessons that help my students to improve their learning.
I've been a teacher for sixteen years, and I've thoroughly liked the experience. I am actively engaged with online teaching/learning and currently teach courses (online and face-to-face) in higher education pedagogies. I work with applied education technology focusing on teachers of language. I have undergraduate and postgraduate degree in science and in education. I have had a variety of positions including classroom teacher, curriculum courseware developer, teacher-trainer, and Lead Teacher.
I firmly believe that technology can radically transform teaching and learning and add new dimensions to the classroom since I am a teacher. Technology has a significant impact on the modern classroom, whether it is through tablets and smart boards, the internet, or social media.
In my free time, I love cooking authentic dishes for my family and spending time with them. I enjoy taking on DIY projects like sewing, building, and needlework. In order to facilitate learning and help my students achieve their career goals, I also enjoy developing interactive worksheets for them.
